Distances:

Sosua - Puerto Plata = 25 km

Playa Dorada - Puerto Plata = 1,5 km

Public bus Sosua to Puerto Plata = 30 pesos

Public bus Playa Dorada to center of Puerto Plata = 15 pesos.

I advise you don't take moto concho's because sometimes they charge to much ( Playa Dorada to Puerto Plata =60 pesos) see ride with bus! And be care full with them for accidents. Happy to help you! ( 1us dollar = 33.50 pesos)

I can make it in 30 minutes with minimal traffic from Sosua to Downtown POP

I can make it in 20 minutes from Sosua to Playa Dorada in minimal traffic.

Playa Dorada to downtown POP is 10 minutes

Too far for a motorconcho but they have publicos which are public cars that will charge between 20 and 30 pesos.

Cabs are 25 bux from Playa Dorada to Sosua.

Make sure you make a deal before sitting in taxi.

I can only tell you how far Sousa is from Playa Dorada, and that is about a 15 minute drive...if that.

Oh and Playa Dorda is IN Peurto Plata
