A Filipino Costume That seems be to be derived from a Baro't Saya ...?

this is a little specific, but what is that "shirt" called?

its not a Baro't Saya but i think it derived from it. the girls wear it under a white shirt. the thing itself is like a netting with one hole for the head. It is decorated with sequins and beading.

A girl would put her head into the hole and you use safety pins to pin it under your armpits ... if that makes sense.

i hope someone has an idea of what im talking about. im kinda desperate here

  1. I know what that is, it is almost like a poncho in structure but with shorter lenght and made with fine netted see-through fabric embellished with sequins and floral stitches on the edge of the fabric. I think Filipinos wear those during dance presentations.

I can't find a good pic on the net but here's one:

If that's what you're talking about then the top is called kimona and skirt is patadyong.

  2. Belo? Kamison? I'm also not sure what your referring to :)
