Nobody in the history of tennis is more talented than Federer. The guy has the best all round game ever. There were better volleyers, better baseliners, better servers, better returners. But no one had more overall talent.

Gasquet you said? NOPE.

He is more of a natural player than Federer, but he never developed that talent the way Federer did his.  I feel that Gasquet relies on natural instincts rather than on practice and honing of skills, as a result he never reached his potentials.  Federer, on the other hand, spent years improving everything in his game, which is why he was able to reach these heights.

Gasquet has a lot of natural talent and was touted as having more natural talent than Fed but never tapped in to it enough. He has a backhand that many think is superior to Rogers but his overall game lacks. Roger has worked very hard on every aspect of his technical and mental game. Roger has said that he respects and admirers Richards play and talent.

I agree with Dr D. Gasquet is talented but to compare him to Federer is ridiculous. His backhand is amazing, but his serve is so so, his forehand can break down, and he's not exceptionally good at net. Not to mention his sloppy work ethic. Is Gasquet good? Yes. Is he "Federer good"? No.

Untrue. He's talented, but he still has room to improve. And good question, where has he been? Supposedly he has an injury that prevented him from coming to Roland Garros. The French press I heard totally snubbed him because they think he's cocky or too good to show up.
