  2. this is the recipe for mamie Eisenhower's million dollar fudge . It is by the far the best recipe that I Have ever got for fudge

It is called million dollar fudge because she was making it back when sugar was rationed and I believe the war time effort was in full swing and it took a  lot of money to  make still to this day fudge is not a cheap recipe.

  9. Jude's Yummy Fudge

A great friend's Mum's recipe... Oooohhh it's impossible to only have one piece  I have no idea where she got the recipe, but all the stirring is definitely worth it! (and I get asked to make this every time there's a family party) Enjoy !

    Ingredients

    1 can condensed milk

    2 cups sugar

    1/2 cup milk

    1 teaspoon butter

    1 tablespoon golden syrup

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

    Directions

1 Put all ingredients together in a decent sized pot, stirring ALL THE TIME (mega important) Boil for 10 minutes (yep, still stirring all the time) Mixture should turn a golden brown.

2 Take off the heat and beat with a wooden spoon for a couple of minutes.

3 Pour into a lightly buttered tin, leave to set and cut into squares before it sets totally solid.
