A George Foreman Question

This is probably a stupid question, but I really need to know.

At my work we have a George Foreman Grill the one that has removable plates, and an on/off button. When I left today I think I forgot to unplug it but I did turn it off, and it wasn't hot or anything. My question is could it possibly start a fire??

  1. That is sort of like my leaving the bread machine plugged in. It is not on! But the lights on it are ON. There shouldnt be a problem. It will draw a bit of power tho being plugged in.

It should not be any more of a fire hazzard than the computers and lamps being left plugged in and turned to off.

  2. Anything plugged in can "possibly" cause a fire.  But if you cut if off it should not be an issue.  If it is clean and you left it on I still don't think it would cause a fire.  I think they have a thermostat inside. I wish you luck.
