OK, So I have this daily homework, where I am given a word and I have to answer questions about it, like the definition, the prefix, the suffix, the roof, part of speech, antonym, synonym and so on... To do so i am in need of a good source, and apparently Dictionary.com cannot provide me with all the info I need. So please give me a good, RELIABLE!!!, website that gives me tons of info on the word.

Thank you =D

  1. A great all in one is (believe it or not) Google.  If you type in "define:" and then your word (remember the colon) it will give you definitions from and links to all sorts of sites.

One of the results is usually from http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn which is a great reference in and of itself.

  2. not sure it is too much better, but I use www.merriam-webster.com

  3. perhaps word reference.com may work?

  4. www.dictionary.com

  5. Webster.com

  6. http://www.merriam-webster.com/

  7. How about buy an electronic dictionary.

  8. umm... obvious... dictionary.com

  9. Hehe! I'm not gonna tell you so it would be fair in Yahoo! Answer. You will not need us once you got a good one, right? I don't really mean it but that is just what I want you to know.
