A Good or Bad sign in a Job Interview?

Today i went to my Job Interview at 11am

It was a young girl doing the interview. We talked about Business and the company but ending up talking about College and Book prices. She was a young College Student too. We laughed many times. She sent me to Amazon i sent her to ebay.

The Interview ended at 11:30.

At 2pm, the SAME DAY i got a missed call from her saying she talked to the Store manager and she wants to set up a 2nd interview with me.

Is that a good sign? Will she be at my 2nd interview? She was very nice.

  1. You should be proud that you have a second interview.

    In regards to your last question;

    No, not everyone gets a second interview. Second interviews are used to either meet with another manager of the place or for the manager to make a better decision between a few candidates.

    The first girl you had interviewed with will most likely not be at the second interview. You may be meeting with the store manager next instead.

    It is common for you to meet one person and then once they approve of you they second you on another interview for another person to approve of you.

    Best of luck!

  2. A second interview is always good. Do what 9 out of 10 seekers won't do and send her a thank you letter, use it as another opportunity to impress upon the employer why you would be good for the job. check out http://www.bestemploymentresources on how to write a thank you letter. 3. 1 they called you back the same day GOOD

    #2 they wouldn't waste their time w you if you were not in the running

    good job! now just don't p**s off the boss or anything and it sounds like yer in!

  4. A second interview is ALWAYS a good sign.

    BUT, your first interview was NOT good.  You got the second interview for the wrong reasons.  She's too inexperienced to be doing interviews!

    Make sure you keep the discussion on business for the second interview, or you might blow it.

  5. A 2nd interview is for her boss to question you because she thinks you would make a good employee. It's the way of business.

  6. A second interview is always a good sign. It sounds like she was a screener. That is, sorts out the good from the trash in a quick first interview. The next interview will likely be with a more senior person and on a higher level. Good luck.
