  1. I'd rather take my chances with the bear because I don't want the added danger of drowning if I managed to survive being torn up into a bloody pulp.

  2. i rather not to pick one cuz there is nothing to scare of in philippines... hehehe

  3. the shark would rip you up no worries

    the bear you could avoid

  4. grizzly on land

i could atleast climb a tree or hide...

in the water id be helpless

cant see, cant swim fast, cant hide, cant get away!

  5. A Great White Shark. First off, they can swallow you in one gulp if they wanted to, I could not swim fast enough. But with a bear, I could scare it away, run, scream, or make a fire or something. With a shark... There is no where to run or hide. You are just a sitting duck waiting to be eaten.

I re-read the question. I did it backwards. I chose which one is worse. I think.. Its worded very weird, and confused me.

  6. You might yell and scare a Bear off but a Shark...if he wants you where you gonna run or hide?

  7. have to avoid?

well seeing as im avoiding it.. either really.. a stroll through the woods or a dive in the ocean.. bot sound good..

richard if i recall correctly... aren't there commonly tsunamis and typhoons in the philipines? a particularly devastating one recently?

i'd be afraid of having my house detroyed and drowning..

  8. The bear, the shark can't follow me out of the water, the bear can come in and get me if I go for a swim.

  9. I'd rather avoid the great white shark in the water. While they can be both quite aggressive, we as homo sapiens (aka humans) are land dwelling animals.

In the water, we can do next to nothing against a great white shark - even if we could swim like an olympic swimmer. You also can use very little of what's around you - i.e. it's mainly just water, yourself... and the shark.

Although a grizzly bear can still run you down, your movements will be nowhere near as slow as compared to when you're in the water. You can also utilise other things on land such as sticks to try and gouge a bear's eyes out.

As a result, i'd bet my chances more with the grizzly bear.

However, weaponry is always a plus in either case... like a gun on land or a well-aimed harpoon in the water =D

  10. I pick a great white shark on land.
