A Help please! I have been asked to talk on stage in my childern's school annual day. Could some one help me

I have two children, both attending a play school, one in pre-school level and other one in after-school programme. I am very satisfied with the school and my children's development. I have been asked to talk on stage with regard to my experience and satisfaction with the school. I am not a very great speaker, but do not want to say no to the school as I am very much satisfied with the school. I want to express my thanks to the management on my children's development. I would request some help from my reader friends to draft me a good speech, with flowery words to show my gratitude to the school. I hope YOU, my friends, would certainly help me in this, urgently. well i think the best way is not to hide ur "shyness" and simply say on the stage that u aren't a great speaker but are there on teh stage to express ur gratitude to the school as u hold a lot of respect for the school which has made ur children better people. comment about the educational qualities of the school and try to make it humurous. try not to make it tooooo long and keep it as short as possible so that pple don't get bored. also if ur scared write down what to write on a piece of paper or ur hand but mind that no one notices that u have written something on ur hand. and if ur scared then hold something in ur hand and throughout the speech hold that thing tightly and before  getting on the stage take a deep breath take the name of god and get going. all the verrryyyyy best to u. go  there and rock and make ur children proud.

must be well dressed with god hair cut and clean shave

start your speech with welocmoing the gust by saying

If u really want to thank them , then telling it directly/straightly is better said than unsaid , I hope this can help them to know about themselves in a much better manner.

I think it is a great opportunity that you have, wherein you not only have a chance to show your satisfaction with the school but also add certain points which you think would be beneficial not only to your kids and other children but also the school.Maybe you could go ahead with something like this....

       "I would like to begin by thanking  the school authorities for having such an open forum wherein the parents are asked to voice their honest and suggestive opinions about the school which will benefit one and all in the long run.In fact,this in itself goes on to show that the school not only functions in a very transparent manner but also respects the views of the guardians who look upon the school as a platform where the child is exposed to and learns the values of life".

      Here ,you could add a few suggestions if you wish to.....

      "Last but indeed not the least,I take this opportunity to thank the management for their visionary skills,the principle for his/her leadership qualities,the teachers whose interactions with the kids play an important role in their future behavioural patterns and all the non-teaching staff without whose support it would be difficult to run the school so smoothly. Thank you all the wonderful people out there".

You don't need any flowery language--anything too flowery will not come across as genuine.  Just speak from the heart. Tell the audience just what you have written above--where you children are in their educational process and what your experience with the school, emphasizing your general satisfaction with the staff, management, and your children's progress.  You might also say something like "If I had it to do over, I would cheerfully enroll them again."  If you have an example of something unique that has happened regarding your children, you might mention it.

Once you have drafted your presentation, practice it in front of a mirror so you can see how your facial expressions and gestures fit in with the overall presentation.  If you are afraid you will forget what you plan to say, put some key words on small (3" x 5") note cards as memory joggers.  (Be sure to number your cards in case you drop them, and they get out of order.)  On the day of the presentation, dress in comfortable clothes and shoes.  Avoid wearing jewelry that might make noise during your presentation.  Once you are dressed, do another run through in front of the mirror to be sure everything works, then go for it.

I wish to tell you that I am a 'Satisfied Customer'!! I am delighted with the progress being made by two children in this school--in the area of academic studies as well as in the development of their personality. I firmly believe that in addition to IQ, development of 'EQ'---Emotional Quotient--is VERY important for the sucess of the future citizens in life. For all this, who should we recognise? Who is doing this great responsibility of properly moulding our children to become well-adjusted, happy, sucessful citizens of tomorrow?
