  1. Hey.. Its not true.. About the locals being 'Anti-White'.. Especially in Bali, I have enjoyed the company of locals very much..

  2. I will said its not accurate.

There is a local problem like people from one state do not like other people from other state & I think its happened all over the world.

I never see they killing each other especially in tourism spot like Bali.

Visiting Bali is first step to know what is Indonesia look like and may be you want to share what is your experience once your back from Bali.

  3. Mm...?

I don't think so. I'm an Indonesian and I do not have the feeling like that.Indonesia is such a beautiful country but you know, there are some bad things happened and it damages our name in global world but, trust me, it's OK to come here.Just visit my blog if you are interested to see one of 33 provinces in Indonesia.

  4. Hi ya,

Best is to go to Bali, the locals are definitely friendly, then if you feel comfortable, know how to deal with them (able to read their reaction-body language or verbal) you can start to explore other parts of Indonesia (which has so many to offer).

I believe it wont be your last trip.

    Enjoy!!

  5. Not True....At least in Bali....Bali is awesome and the locals are great friendly people!

  6. not true.

i'm indonesian and i have three best friend in the whole universe i can rely on and they can also count on me at any second they need me.

two of them are indonesians, and another one is a tall white-guy with long-hair :P

indonesians are open to Caucasians, to foreigners mostly. Coz indonesia's multicultural itself, we're used to differences :)

  7. Just go there, spend your money and leave. Hopefully you will bring back a indo girl to marry.

  8. Indonesians are very racist, especially to people who are black, Chinese, etc. The Balinese have many bad things to say about the Javanese. The Sasak slag the Balinese. The Javanese make derogatory remarks about people from Sumatra. It never ends.

They usually put up with us white monkeys because they think we're loaded with cash, meaning a potential source of income for them. Actually, they'll put up with almost anybody if it means a potential source of income. But once the cash runs out...............

There are also Indonesian Muslims that will literally disinfect their house after a non-believer leaves. People like that even have special cups, plates and forks set aside for non-believers to use when they are visiting. Don't believe me? Come stay here for a few years.

Even my Indonesian friends that I have known for several years suddenly come out with very racist comments that really shock me. They seem to think it's no big deal and will try and justify their racism with utterly stupid reasoning that a 2 year old could pull apart at the seams.

That being said, my own mother makes nasty comments about 'orientals' and such. No matter who it's coming from, racism sucks.

  9. it's not true :D

  10. No, I don't understand Indonesian!

I just speak English in United States after 2 years old.

When I was 2 years old, I moved to Chicago, Illinois from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I don't understand Malay and Chinese.

    I understand English.

  11. People said to you just provocation to Indonesia for coming. Please go to Indonesia because Indonesian are honestly and respectly to stranger persons and responsiblelity to touristm.

Please see my webs at below!!!

    Cheers

  12. Bali is such a tourist place, the locals could care less.

But in mainland Indonesia, I find that to be true. NOT ALL are racist by any means, but their are more than enough.

  13. Some high-level officials and businessmen resent foreigners cause of nationalism (lest these foreigners invade the country again, or try to convert Indonesians into other religions, you know the usual comments...), but generally I have never really heard the locals discriminate the whites.  If anything, the locals really respect the whites more than they would to other Asians.  I've seen that happening prevalently in Bali.  The hotel staff would be more afraid thus cater the needs of the whites more than the local guests or asian looking guests.

Either way, hate crimes against foreigners are pretty rare, so definitely you should come.

  14. I am sure that your information is not accurate.

I lived at Indonesia, thousands of white people lived at Jakarta. Or if you go to Bali.. you will see that hundreds of white people enjoy their travel at Ubud, Legian, Kuta Beach and other places, even they enjoy their nightlife.

So, don't beleive to that non accurate information. Go and enjoy your travel at Indonesia,

If you need any assistance please don't hesitate to send email to me.

    Cheers,

  15. It all depends. You have to come to the place to experience it.
