A.J. Allmendinger?

Question

A.J. Allmendinger was running really good yesterday. I'm not used to seeing him running up front. Finished 10th. Do you think he is starting to gel with the crew chief and we will see better finishes or do you think it was a fluke.

He is getting better as the races progress, hope to see more of him up front and running with the BIG DOGS!

Yep. I believe he is coming around and this year will be used to get better and better an though I don't think it will happen this season I look for him in victory Lane next year.

AJ has done really well since he had to take a seat to Mike Skinner earlier in the year. Every since he got back in the car he has been pretty good. He has got a very successfully crew chief in Jimmy Elledge. So I think that he he is starting to find a groove with him and the COT and he is improving a bunch.

Team Red Bull is better than Michael Waltrip racing right now.

Well we did see him do quite well at the allstar race.  That and the red bull team is showing some real improvements this year.  I think we'll see at least one more top ten out of him before the season is over.  I believe if it would have come down to some teams having to use pocono tires he may have won.  Him or Newman due to the fact the teammates could have sent an extra set of tires over.  I really wanted to see that.

Luckily I ran him on a couple of fantasy teams, woohoo!  He has had a few good runs this year and team Red Bull is really impressing me with the huge gains they have made since last year.  At this point I don't think you can call it a fluke and it looks like AJ is going to be around for awhile.

I'm not putting too much into yesterday's race.  Seemed more like a "who was lucky enough to get off pit road first" race.

yea he finished ahead of dale jr but jr is the second best driver on the circuit as far as points

No fluke at all. The guy can race, its just that the team thought he lacked experience and did not listen to him. Then they brought in Skinner which probably turned the team around (and gave a new outlook on Allmendinger really). For it gave allmendinger alot of confidence to know that Skinner was telling them the exact same thing. And now that they can now qualify and they have a veteran crew chief, all they gotta do is get some time to grow. Next year you will see a different driver and team.

He has finished ahead of Dale Jr two weeks in a row. That should tell you how bad Jr is
