I have a friend in Houston who's son bought a riding lawnmower. When he was 10. He would mow the lawns for people in the neighborhood.

He would only do it this one way:

Front's only, every Saturday morning, (he started at 9:00AM) mow the grass, (with a mulching deck, no bagging) and blow up clippings. Nothing else with one exception-he would do a couple of back yards. (if he could get the mower through the gate.- and charged more.)

He got stuck moving things n the front lawn, water hose etc., but he avoided it as much as he could. The idea was he would mow all the lawns and then go back and blow them.

He worked hard and never took any breaks. He never missed a Saturday. He generally finished between 1 and 2

He only charged $10..00 for the front (17 for both). Really cheap.

The people he worked for liked the fact that they could do the rest of the stuff when they got the chance, but the house always looked pretty good.

All the housed were within 3 blocks of his house. And other than blowing the grass, he generally did not get off the mower.

This kid came up with the this idea on his own. His family did not think much of it. But he went out and sold the work. He knocked on doors  near every house he mowed and asked if they needed their lawn mowed.

By the third week, this crazy kid was bring home over $100 a week.  

We're talking $20 an HOUR!

Talk to you parents. There is bound to be something that  people want done in your area that you can do quick and cheap.

He made money because he was lower that the commercial business in the area. But he made good money because he did not have to drive any to get to the locations and he did several places all at once, right next to each other.

well my friend started at 12 too and she got paid about 7-8 dollar an hour

sounds gross, but people pay...clean up after dogs...

it's quick and you could charge $3 each house and set up a route...

then buy some vicks menthol and  plaster it under your nose...(gob it on) so all you smell is methol vicks and then get a pooper scooper tool and a small can and scoop fast.get your $3 bucks and move on to the next house...

you could make ten minute per house and you could do 6 houses an hour...just do goof off...thats 18 buck an hour

hmm.. try baby sitting your neighbors near by. Maybe join the newpaper company and deliver news papers to houses on your street. Or walk your neighbors dogs for a price.. Sell lemonade on the streets.
