A.L.L. childhood cancer survivors?

I'm a A.L.L. survivor. I was diagnosed at 18 months and went through treatments for 4 yrs. I have regained a pretty normal life with the exception of a low immune system. But, the one thing I've always wanted I can't find because out of the 20 something children diagnosed in that hospital that day I'm the only one that's left living. I want to find someone that has also gone through this to be able to share the experiences of life during and after cancer. Any suggestions?

  1. i'm so glad to hear you beat your cancer. I'm not a survivor. but my son was just diagnosed with A.L.L on 7-29-08. he will be 4 in october. he is getting chemo and will need to be treated for 3 and a half years. he is considered high risk because his white count was 50 thousand. i know this has nothing to do with your question but it always makes me feel a little better just knowing that people do survive. i know that there's no guarantee he will be cured but i'm hopeful and i pray alot and that's all i can do besides trust his doctors and do everything they tell us to. well again i'm so happy your doing well and i will pray for you to have a very long happy healthy life. and i do hope you find someone to talk to .

  2. I'm not a survivor myself but I was doing some research on cancer, I found this really good website where cancer survivors can talk to people who have also survived cancer. Its a bit like bebo and facebook, you make yourself a profile and then you can write comments to different people on it and also write blogs etc. It is specially designed for teenagers..

I really hope that it will help,
