Dear Mr. Malinga
I hope you are in good health and sanguine spirits. I pray that you are enjoying the heat Down Under and are having a jolly good time with your teammates.
I decided to write you as soon as the World’s greatest chasing victory came to an end and a tart-looking waitress at the pub switched off the defective television-set in the shabby cold room. As I am writing, your glories are being discussed in every nook
and corner.
I don’t have words to tell you how I feel. Everything is appearing a bit hazy around me. I am still in a daze. I highly doubt anyone else could have ever done what you did.
You along with the angelic Angelo Mathews gave the World a magnificent gift. That is why I took up the task of letting you know how many lives you have made better. You have crushed the Kangaroos and they would be lurking behind the soft cuddly koala bears
whose warmth would give them solace.
People at my lot are still in shock. First the Indians broke them down, then you guys pushed them further when your team won in the Twenty20 and the final straw came when you jolted them to a place where they would be hiding until you go back home. The Indians
fought for our cause and it is heartening to see that you are carrying our torch ahead.
Your strength was un-matched today. I mean you did “that” on “their” ground. It is unbelievable. You have left them confused. They just don’t know what to do anymore.
You threw in a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Razzaq-c84421, when you smashed the Aussies in their face. The 132-run partnership is insane. It has set up a World record for the ninth wicket in One Day Internationals. I hope you set more records in the future.
Everyone around the suburbs was cheering for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 as you and Mathews fought back with immense momentum. And injuries, oh how can I forget the injuries. Two more players are down due to back injury due to a spineless performance. Yes dear Malinga, revenge
is surely sweet.
The Sri Lankan’s don’t know that they have struck gold with finding you and Mathews. Just another blow to the Aussies and by now, their confidence would have hit rock bottom and then we will see the light. The colourful rainbows, dancing butterflies and
sunshine would take over our country and we will be happy once again. The World would indeed be beautiful again.
It was such a warm feeling to see your face lit up as you had a brilliant stand in front of the mighty Aussies. Your win was our gain and their loss. They have now been reduced to their sixth consecutive defeat in all forms of cricket. The pre-Ashes scorn
has died in the fire of their looming depression.
Everyone has their time to shine and it looks like your team has given us the chance to shine. Their confidence has been shaken up and mind you it is not due to any Twitter banter, but surely they are on their way to be buried in a morass of fear.
Another thing I want to admit is, that I have been bashing about your hair style on millions of blogs (not that I am proud of it) but last night what I saw was pure magic. Your hair was shining under the MCG stadium’s light. I fell in love with your hair
which complemented your glow.
It was because of you, that all this is possible. I, on behalf of my fellow countrymen- salute you Malinga, and your team!
P.S. if possible, can you please write me back with your hairstylist’s contact information?
Regards,
A very happy Englishman
