I'm currently doing my A Levels, i got my AS results today, i passed with grades E, D and C, which allows me to go into my second year.

Question is, is it possible for me to, in my A2 year to get an overall A or B in the classes i got a D and and E in?

Thanks.

  1. Absolutely. I have experience. I got BCD last year and this year I needed BBC to get into the uni i wanted to go to and I DID IT.

Trust in God he does it all. Work hard, start looking at Uni's and put them on your wall anything to draw them closer to you.

  2. You will need to resit modules I'm in this position and I'm debating whether to resit the year or modules. If you work your **** off then you can get it. If you don't resit modules then it would be impossible. I got CDD im proper gutted, i spent the morning crying as i was predicted AAB.

  3. sure if u studied more hardly & did some researches on the net it'll be a piece of cake 4 u!

  4. I've just change the post - again!

    UPDATE

    worked out what you need

    Psych - u have 120 (E) you need another 240 at A2  to get an overall C (360)

so you'd need an AAC at least in the three units to get this.

my advice for Psych would be to resit the 2 units you had U in - as a teacher I wouldn't let you back to do A2 with 2 U's despite the A (c/w) grade. How did u manage an A at coursework and then 2 u's?

Sociology you have 168 (D) to get a B at A2 you need an extra 252 so you need

    SCY4 - A (a middle grade of 84)

    SCY5 - A (a middle grade of 84)

    SCY6 - B a boundary grade of 84

again i would resit 2 units (the two d's) and get them up to C's(minimum)

you would then need 236 which is AAC

basically you need to resit. also A2 is much harder than AS so you need to work really hard

    good luck

  5. Hello,

It has been a while, that i have taken my A Levels. But, i think you can redo it. You can also try your hardest to get a good gradfe which can be a grade a or b.

    hope i helped you out.

  6. u'd have to work really hard its best if u do some resits to boost ur marks if u leave it too late u wont be able to get the extra marks n next yr ur results will be final

  7. What?

  8. As far as I remember, these things are worked out on an average of the two years' results. (OK, maybe it used to be in my days - a few moons back!)

Depending on your actual marks, you may still be able to - but it would be quite challenging because you need to get 90% and over to achieve B/C's.  An A is unlikely even with a mark of 90% +.

    A* (available from 2008) 80%+, plus 90%+ in A2 units

    A 80%+

    B 70% - 79%

    C 60% - 69%

    D 50% - 59%

    E 40% - 49%

I would recommend maybe getting extra tuition if you're disappointed with your results, and hopefully next year you'll make up for your shortfall.

    Best of luck :)

Oh, and your C grade, you can still achieve an A, if it was a high C mark, and you achieve a really good 90+% :)

  9. if you work your *** off then you will !! dw

i got my results today and im pretty pleased with them !! 3 As and 1B !!

dont worry though ... this is not the end of the world ... if u see wt i mean
