A Line is a Line, Right?

Question

Okay, this morning I was so excited to test that I accidently grabbed an ovulation test which immediately came up positive (and last ovulation was on the 14th/15th of this month). I did test later with the proper prego test, but of course it was no longer first morning urine. A very, very, very faint line appeared. I do plan to test again first thing in the morning, but a line is a line right? Has this ever happened to anyone and if so, what were the results? (About to burst with excitement....=))

A line is a line your right :-) I only get faint lines on the HPT's and they were right all 3 times

Lovely - Get off your soapbox ffs, read the question again she grabbed OPK by ACCIDENT, and tested again with HPT later and got a faint line, seriously learn to read before being so judgemental.

Interesting information is that an ovulation test will detect a pregnancy as it does detect HCG the pregnancy hormone tested in HPTs.  I, being addicted to peeing on a stick, have actually tested this theory and found it to be accurate. With my last pregnancy I took a HPT and got a faint line and just out of curiosity took an ovlulation test because I had like twenty left in the pack that can only be used for one month(according to directions on the box) and it too was positive.   And......yes a line is a line no matter how light I had several light pregnancy lines during my five pregnancies and all were correct.  Congrats and go celebrate!!!!

I'd say a line is a line! I tested in the evening and got a correct result. Congrats to you :-)

so excited for you!!!  the same thing happened to me - faint positive with the first test, and then the next morning - a sure thing!!!  i hope the same happens for you - it's the best feeling in the world!  best of luck!!!

Yep.  As long as it was the same color as the ink in the test.  If it was gray, or looked like a dent, then it was an evaporation line.  But, as long as it is the same color ink, a line is a line.  :)  congratulations!

I hate it when people use ovulation test for pregnancy test if you think you are pregnant take a pregnancy test not an ovulation test to determine if you are pregnant.

i too had a faint line... and wondered the same thing.  I waited a few days later and it was most definantly positive.
