A Little Bit Dusty looks capable of winning ATR Royal Ascot Microsite Now Live Selling Stakes at Wolverhampton
A Little Bit Dusty, who was runner-up in his recent appearance at Lingfield, looks more than capable of clinching the top place in the ATR Royal Ascot Microsite Now Live Selling Stakes, taking place at Wolverhampton on Monday, June 18, 2012.
The class 6 meeting, holding a purse worth £1,704, is scheduled to commence at 15:00 (GMT). The 7f32y event has attracted nine speedy runners and among A Little Bit Dusty’s confirmed opponents are: Restless Bay, One Way Or Another, Florio Vincitore, Right
Regal, Just Timmy Marcus, Botanist and Bold Diva.
A Little Bit Dusty finished his 2011 campaign on a high note. After crushing his rivals at Ludlow, Bill Turner’s trainee clinched an emphatic win at Plumpton.
After having a great year, the four-year-old could not perpetuate his good work, as he was second last on his seasonal debut in February.
Although he is yet to open his account this season, his recent performance was good enough to make everyone believe that he has the best chance of winning today.
In the Betfred Mobile Sports Selling Stakes, he chased the leader tremendously in the final furlong, but failed to surpass him. As a result, he missed the first position by a couple of lengths.
On the other hand, Restless Bay is also aiming to register his first win of the season. After missing the gold medal by ½ a length at Leicester, Reg Hollinshead’s trainee could not continue his good work and as a result, finished fourth at Hamilton earlier
this month.
One Way Or Another is also struggling with his form these days. After finishing second last here last month, the nine-year-old could not do anything special and fell sixth at Salisbury last time.
With most of his rivals struggling with their form, it looks an ideal opportunity for A Little Bit Dusty to have a go. Needwood Blade’s son was decent in his last appearance and if he performs to his level best, there is no reason why he should not have
a big run today.
No matter how he performs, the spectators will have plenty of entertainment. We wish the best of luck to all runners.
