A Little Small Wedding help, please.

Question

Where to start off?!

Okay, My Wedding is going to be very modern, up to date, and very me.

Wedding Colors-- Pink & Teal w/ a hint of silver. & Crystals.

Flowers-- Orchids.

But i'm Having a problem Finding a site where i can get idea's of Pink & teal weddings, Ideas of center pieces, Invatations, Table settings etc.

I'm Having my wedding in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee area.

I want my Reception & Ceremoney Area to be close to water, it can be a pond or lake anything. But i want it to be modern But pretty and Classy. No country like.

Outside or Indoors i'm open to anything.

I just need some peoples advice.

I want our Reception place to be indoors because the one thing i hate is bugs annoying me when im trying to eat, it can be in a tent i guess.

We are looking for food ideas. We were thinking of a sea food/ down south style food w/ steak and chicken.

A Dessert/Candy buffet.

The most inportant part of this question is that i'm looking for a venue in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee Area and i'm having trouble finding one.

I guess i just need some open ideas and advice.

the only location I could find that wasn't a motel was this hotel that is part of the Hilton family. It's worth taking a look at hotels and there reception rooms because then you don't need to hire a catering company with can get really pricey. They will also help with decorations and sometimes even provide a cake with is a huge stress reliever hehe I am personally a fan of the whole white tent idea because it's so romantic and you can do soo much with decorations like little white lights everywhere. If i could do my wedding again I would defiantly do the tent thing.

go to google images and look up Lauri's wedding from the housewives of Orange County and you might get some more ideas!! :)

As for your wedding colors ..you can use any center peice and then just have the colors changed ..so if you find something you LOVE then do it but with your colors!!

Cant help you with locations but I think that your colour ideas are great.I live in Australia and a lot of people have their wedding ceremonies outside. For the service you could have it outside and make a perimeter of bug zappers that I am sure that you could hire. The reception would be great in a tent, they can decorate them really beautifully.Good Luck!

Check to see if there are any nice hotels or resorts in your area.  Those are great places for a wedding and reception.  Also, country clubs are great choices too.

You can make your own centerpieces using pink and teal silk flowers.  Get them at the dollar store, or if you can afford it, a florist can have carnations dyed to your colors for the centerpieces.  Carnations last a long time.

If it's a sit-down dinner, give your guests a choice, and seafood and chicken are good, so is beef and pork.  Buffet style is also great, gives you more choices and it's easier.  The caterer can also do your cake in your colors.

I would go for the indoor option for a reception (or at least a tent)- as you don't want to have the stress on the day of what to do if it rains or is really windy.

I suggest looking at local wedding guides, searching google (with some keyword of what you want e.g. "Tennessee, wedding reception, water/lake", asking at businesses that might have some ideas (bridal shops, etc.).
