  1. i wouldn't know, but other countries are weird about their laws. ask someone who really knows and don't take the chance.

  2. I've stayed in strict muslim countries in Malaysia and the Middle East (Dubai, Egypt etc) before and I've stayed in the same room with female friends with no question or dramas.

    They were 4/5 star hotels.

Dubai is a comparatively easy going country in regards to the whole fraternisation thing, but keep in mind that public displays of affection are not approved of at all and extreme cases (eg. the british couple that were having s*x in public in Dubai) can lead to very seriouse concequences, including jail.

Hotels maintain a relaxed attitude toward customers within thier facilities and recognise the western cultures differ in what is acceptable - they let it slide.

You almost certainly will not be asked for any kind of marraige proof in a reputable hotel and apart from keeping in mind not to be plain rude and disrespectiful to thier culture in public, you wont find it any different to whats expected of your behavior in your own country :)

  3. What ?That's BS give them a credit card over the phone.Have your boy friend check in when you get there.Go to your room and have a good time!

  4. ive never heard of this non sense lol

but you could just try acting like brother and sister or something idk just a thought, if ID issue comes up, say you have different dads.

then come up with a reason to be in town, like the other sister is getting married or its a family vacation

  5. I dont think so at least not in all hotels i have checked in so many hotels in dubai before and I have trips where my GF was with me and I didnt have any problem, It shouldnt be a problem in dubai it self maybe  sharjah or the other cities it would be a good idea to get the hotel numbers of the internet and give them a call

  6. this is absolutely not true at all

  7. To comply with their religious laws , the UAE hotels may require that couples sharing a room b ready to present a marriage certificate upon check-in. To prevent any problems, it is suggested that you bring along a copy of your marriage certificate.

Dubai tourist information also includes facts about their religion. Islam is the prevalent religion in Dubai as well as the whole United Arab Emirates. It is necessary to read tourist information about Islam since the locals of Dubai have a great respect on their religion and visitors are expected to do the same. Because of this, there are some things that a tourist must keep in mind. Most Dubai tourist information brochures clearly states that nobody must walk in front of an Islam who is currently praying. Drinking alcoholic beverages are not also allowed in public places or streets. If you are a couple traveling to Dubai, don’t forget to bring your marriage certificate wherever you go. It is illegal to display affection in public. Because of the conservative culture of Islam, women must wear their beach outfits only at the beach resorts. Moreover, during their holy month which is called Ramadan, visitors must also get acquainted with all the special rules that take effect during that season.

You have to follow the Islamic laws as any other person even their own citizens , and in order to share a room you must prove that you are married or you cannot share a room but instead would have to have seperate rooms.

  8. there it may be nessesary

  9. Just your payment is all that is needed.

  10. That's kinda weird, never heard of them asking for a marriage certificate before. Maybe that's the protocol in Dubai.

  11. u should ask this question in dubai, not here. arabian emirates is a muslim country, civilized laws do no apply there. u may contact the hotel u intend to stay and ask there. do not ask here - in usa and europe no certificate is required, but those re different countries
