A Minor, on acoustic guitar problem?

on acoustic guitar, when playing a A Minor, my pointing finger always catches A string when trying to reach B string, i really have to press hard and point my whole hand upwards to make it work, but then it still sometimes catches, any pointers?

  1. Doesn't it touch the e string instead??


  2. Make sure you arch your fingers correctly. Use your thumb as an anchor pressing firmly on the back of the neck. You need to make sure you fingernails are short so you can give a nice arch to your fingers.  

  3. Use the same hand positioning for an E Major, only move it up a string. Middle finger on the D string, Ring on the G, and pinkie on the B.
