A Mother deer with baby fawns

We just came back from camping and saw a mother deer with 2 baby fawns she had tufts of fur missing and was limping does anyone know what this could be and if she will be okay or not.

  1. There is a very good possibility that she was attacked by a cougar/mountain lion or even a black bear and was able to escape as deer are a stable for the diet of these tow animal. Female deer/mother deer are fierce fighters which most people don't realize and they will defend their babies at all costs. If a mountain lion tried to attack one of her babies, it would have fought back and this is what may have taken place. I am very happy that she is alive despite the missing fur and the limp as she will heal up with enough time.


  2. Just to make sure that she will be okay call the professionals to help.

  3. She probably got injured defending the fawns from something
