A Nice Poem?

Question

I recently bought a poetry book and I really like the little introductory poem on the first page. It's very short but I like it. what does everyone else think?

"Written down lest I forget,

my sing song dreams

sung as I slept

Written down within this book,

my soul's window

through which you look"

It sounds to me the person talked about here was a poet ! He was about to go to sleep, but before actually going to sleep, had some verses in his head! So he wrote them down so you could see, his writings and know he was inspired to write!
