A Old Kids Movie about magical Books.?

Hey!

I once watched a movie when i was a kid about 14 years ago. There was a movie about a boy (had glasses) and he goes to like a library and a wizard does something and the movie goes into a cartoon and there a like magical books and they come to life. thats all i remember but i really wanna know what it is!! If anyone can help would be great!

yeah. i think i also saw this cartoon in hbo when i was a kid. but i cant remember the title.d**n. now i couldnt get it out of my head.im still trying to remember the title. if i do, i may get back to you. :>
