A Q for our American friends?

OK, it is not really a Q, I just want to wish y'all a happy Independence day! If it wasn't for George III's idiocy you could be part of the Brit commonwealth, but I am glad you are what you are just the same.

Thank you very much! I doubt you celebrate the 4th in Britain, but I hope you have a good day. Most of us have the day off tomorrow. No offence, but I wouldn't want to be part of the Commonwealth. That is what makes America unique. Being the first country in the Western Hemisphere to become independent. The Declaration itself says that all connections and allegiance to the British Crown is totally dissolved.

Anyway, no hard feelings from the Revolutionary war!

I do not want to spoil things! But!Should Independence Day be shortened to Dependence Day!Why?The amount of money the EU,Japan,India and China have had to plough into the US to keep it solvent!Have a Good Day!
