what is the russian letter for latin "e" and capital "E"? is it "e" or "э" ?

for instance, when you write "perfect" with russian letters (not the russian word, latin word written with russian letters), is it "пэрфэкт" or "пeрфeкт" ? i mean, like writing "Ленин" with russian letters, meaning lenin.

  1. З or з makes the "z" sound in English.

Ё or ё makes the "yo" sound.

Є or є is the Ukranian Cyrillic letter for the sound "yeh," and is not found in Russian words. Don't confuse it with the symbol for the Euro currency, which is €.

Е or е is the Russian equivalent of the Ukranian Є or є, and makes the "yeh" sound.

Э or э is the letter you're looking for. It makes the "eh" sound.

    пэрфэкт → per-fekt

    пeрфeкт → pyer-fekt

    Ленин → lyeh-neen

  2. It is ''э'', the ''e'' in Russian has a ''ye'' sound to it. This one: "пэрфэкт" , "Лэнин".
