If I were to set up an e-commerce business, would I approach companies directly or would I approach wholesalers/suppliers and intermediaries?

for example, lets say that I wanted to sell sony TVs on my site. Would I approach sony directly or would I approach wholesalers and suppliers that sell sony products?

How does this buying and selling system work?

  1. Most manufacturers won't sell you one or two items.. hence you would need to get an account with a wholesaler, especially if you are selling high value items.
