A Question About The Wii Nunchuk?

im thinking of picking up a nintendo wii, and have a few questions about the nunchuk controller. Is it absolutely necessary to have one of these to play games? could i get by with just the controller? What are some advantages of the nunchuk? Thanks.

Some of the best games for wii need a nunchuck. My favorites are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Super Mario Galaxy. Those two games, in my opinion, are the best games for the wii. If you want some of the best games, get a nunchuck.

Some games need it, if you look on the case of the game you are going to buy, it will tell you if you need one or not!  The nunchuck can sometimes make it easier to play, or it is just necessary! Usually you can just play with the controller, if you read the instructions how to play the game,(on the game) it will tell you to use the nunchuck, but at the end of the instructions it says you can just use a wii remote!

well you would need a nunchuck to play boxing and maybe other games that u can buy (can't really think of any) but the nunchuck comes with the wii so theres no worries about getting one

Most of the more complex and better games require the Nunchuck, such as Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, Mario Strikers, Metroid 3, etc.

I highly advise owning at least two Nunchucks.

Depending on the types of games that you want to play, you will need the nunchuk.  The wii system comes with one remote and one nunchuk.  If it is just you playing, then you will be fine.  If you plan on playing 2-4 player games that require the nunchuk, you will want to pick up more.  If you want to know whether or not a particular game requires the nunchuk, you can look at the back of the game case.  It is indicated in the upper right corner what accessories are required to play.

Well some games require it while most don't. But you don't need to worry because the Wii comes with a Wiimote and a Nunchuck. Its a very helpful peripheral that makes your Wii experience even better. Also some games that's may not require it have awkward controls to make up for the lack of the Nunchuck. And like i said the Wii already comes with one so you wont need another one unless you want local multiplayer (another Wiimote would also be needed)

Depends on the game, Zelda, RE4 and Mario Galaxy all use it while most party type games don't, you get one free with the console anyway, it tends to be single player type games that make use of the nunchuk.
