  1. arbonne, sometimes st.ives, and lush when i can get it.

edit: someone is seriously stalking me and thumbs-dowinig all my answers, lol

    edit2:

Tom's of Maine Natural Shaving Cream.

Great stuff. Completly cruelty free and not tested on animals. It is fantastic and makes your legs(or whatever) feel really smooth.

  2. Lush. I really like their shampoos and conditioners. Even started using the henna they sell to color my hair. Most all of their products are vegan (though, not all so you have to check the list of ingredients.)

Also for make up, I'd use Urban Decay. None of their products are tested on animals and lots of them are vegan.

  3. The other poster who suggested Aussie products is wrong- Aussie's Haircare range DO test on animals.

A lot of women (and men too) use Lush products. All of the products are vegetarian, and many are vegan and certified by The Vegan Society. They use only natural ingredients and safe synthetics (no chemical nasties).

Lush have a strict policy against animal testing and environmental degradation.

You can order online from most countries.

[edit] I checked Lush's website, and they have 3 shaving creams, all are vegetarian, but sadly none are vegan. But I found a vegan shaving cream from Simple. Some people say Simple use artificial chemicals, so you may choose not to use them. Simple are against animal testing though, and Simple products are very popular in the UK.

But the link is here anyway:

  4. You could check out Aveda, and/or Innoxa. I am trying to learn about brands that are animal friendly. The innoxa one, I just go by the label, but a straight edge vegan [Davey Havok] I once spoke to said he uses Aveda. He's pretty hardcore about the vegan thing so I'd trust him when he says it's good. It can be costly though! If you're Australian, I'd also recommend you take a look at crueltyfreeshop [.com.au]. Also if you're in sydney, the vegan festival is on June 8th in the Rocks. Could be really helpful for you =)

  5. i use aussie products, i absolutely love them. they make your hair look and smell amazing, and they're not tested on animals and are enviroment-friendly.

  6. Green People

  7. I like Nature's Gate shampoos and conditioners. They're conditioners are amazing.

Tom's of Maine Natural Deoderant HoneySuckle Rose lasts all day and smells amazing.

Tom's of Maine Natural Toothpaste is really good too.

I use olive oil, coconut oil, and any other pure oil I can get my hands on as a body oil instead of lotion. Nature's Gate makes lotion too but I've never used it.

Giovanni makes a great leave-in conditioner

Lush makes some AMAZING soap. They're expensive though. I would only buy them as a treat to myself or someone else every once in a while.

EDIT: 100% pure organic Aloe Vera Gel can be used as a moisturizing shave gel.

  8. You could use Arbonne products, which like Mary Kay, is representative-based so you would have to find a representative/order online. I have tried some of their (facial and vitamin) products and they are amazing!

Aveda has great reviews but I have never tried them.

I have used Avalon Organics in the best and...really loved them for my hair. Their fragrances were the best. I have used their shampoos and body wash that doubles as bubble bath. Here is what their website says" Are your products suitable for vegans and/or vegetarians?

We offer a unique collection of quality personal care products for caring consumers seeking natural, organic and cruelty-free ingredient alternatives within the vegetarian ethic. All of our products are 100% vegetarian.

We continually strive for the finest possible formulations with superior efficacy and optimum benefits. We make maximum use of ingredients derived from natural plant sources, including vegetable and nut oils, plant waxes, herbal extracts and pure essential oils.

We reject ingredients that are by-products of the meat and fishing industry such as gelatin, tallow, collagen, elastin, squalene, and others. We also reject all cruelly obtained animal ingredients such as musk, castoreum and cochineal (carmine).

While, the vegetarian ethic allows for the use of humanely derived milk, honey, beeswax and lanolin, only a very limited number of our products contain one of these ingredients. Avalon makes every attempt to offer a full range of quality personal care products that can meet and exceed strict vegan standards. However, if our products cannot meet your specific personal needs, we fully support your continued product search. " from http://www.avalonorganics.com/?id=154

Both Avalon Organics and JASON I have found, regularly, in grocery stores in different states. According to the site below "JASON Natural Products features a line of 100% Vegetarian products. They do have a couple lip balms that are made with beeswax, so out of 300+ products, 99% of them are also Vegan. " I have used their oral hygiene products.

Also, I am not a huge fan of Bath & Body Works because of their "Finished product not tested on animals" label, however, last time I checked they were offering an expensive vegan line- just have to ask the right person which it is.

Lastly, here is a site listing some of what  I have listed and a lot more with sources. Enjoy!

  9. I'm not a woman but men use hair and body products too!!  I usually buy the Nature's Gate Products or Avalon Organics.  Both are US companies.  They are great products and Nature's Gate makes shampoos, conditioners, mousse, gel (not from gelatin), lotions, soaps, and deodorants, etc.

I buy them at Whole Foods usually but I have seen them at numerous national supermarket chains as well.

    Online at

    http://www.natures-gate.com/

    http://www.avalonorganics.com/

Also, for Hair Dye I have used "Naturtint" in the past.  They are a European company but the product can be found all over.  http://www.mothernature.com/shop/brands/...

  10. The best shampoo I have found that even labels itself 100% vegan is "Pureology".

I use it everyday and it makes my hair SO shiny and soft. I LOVE IT. I have tried a million different brands and I totally feel like I have found my shampoo :D It is a little pricey, but so worth it. I use the "NanoWorks System" products.

    Highly recomend it.
