A Question for EVERYONE who has adopted.?

Question

If you have adopted Domestically or through Foster Care, what state did you adopt from?

If you have chosen to adopt Internationally, which country did you choose?

Also, what age(s) were your children at the time of adoption.

If you haven't adopted yet, but plan on doing so, what state/country do you plan to adopt from.

Just a simple question.

Personally, I would LOVE to adopt from China, but i am starting to consider Domestic adoption. Preferably from Wisconsin.

Save yourself a little time: Adopting from China is wrong because there are kids right here in the US that you shouldn't be adopting because adoption is wrong.

China--ages 22 mos and 23 1/2 mos.

We are adopting from the midwest

he was 4 when placed with us

6 when the TPR was completed

and it could very well be a teenager before he is adopted (ICWA law)

we are trying to adopt out of foster care.

A cousin who was placed with us at birth -adopted by us at age 7.

Another cousin placed with us recently at 8 years old - mother and father have consented to adoption. Awaiting a voluntary TPR court date.

Another cousin (my adopted daughter's sister)  placed with us recently at 14 years old - we WILL adopt if her plan of care changes from kinship to adoption.

Expecting in March.

We are also foster parents.

Hi,  I am a Canadian adoptive Mom of two.  I am an Alberta resident, but both my boys were born in Saskatchewan.  I was blessed by meeting two fantastic natural Moms.  I was present for both their births and brought them both home from the hospital myself.

Adopted our son from foster care in California. He was 2-1/2 when he was placed with us and nearly 4-1/2 when his adoption was finalized. He is now 7-1/2.

My husband and I have adopted internationally twice.

We adopted our 5 year old daughter (Meiling) when she was 1 from China.

We adopted our 3 year old daughter (Gita) when she was 2 from India.

I would recomend adopting where ever you can afford, it's very rewarding!!

We adopted our daughter in 2006 from China. She was 2 1/2 years old. In 2007 we adopted our son, also from China. He was 8 1/2 years old.

We have adopted two boys from Guatemala.

Our oldest is now 3 and was 6 months when we brought him home. The youngest is 18 months and was 7 months when we brought him home.

My partner and I adopted our foster children in Missouri.  We had them for almost 2 years.  When we adopted them, they were 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 (she turned 8 two days later).  They are biological siblings.  We now are helping their biological siblings, who are 15 months and 5 weeks.  Their first mom just died and dad is overwhelmed, so we will raise them together.

We adopted from Liberia.  Our children were 10 and 5 at the time of adoption.  They are biological siblings.
