  1. Are you referring to his high-sticking call in the first period (4:02)where his stick made contact with the helmet of the Pittsburgh player?

If so, that was the right call.

Or, are you referring to the goaltender interference call at 15:20 of the first period?

That was a total bullshit call.  The goal should have counted.  Nothing Holmstrom did on that play prevented Fleury from stopping the puck.  If every time a player hit the goaltender with his stick while a teammate scored a goal, 20% of all goals would be disallowed.   So, total bullshit call!

  2. It's called "establishing boundries." The officials made a borderline call to make sure both teams know to avoid contact while screening the goaltenders.  The penelty to Holmstrom wasn't necissary, but it emphasized their point.  If it were a deciding game, or even a game-deciding play, than it would be an issue...as it stands, it's a mid-first period call that had little effect on the score (Detriot just made it 1-0 anyways).

It'll keep guys from going all Sean Avery during the finals.

  3. I'm gonna have to go with middle on this. It's a call that if it wasn't called it would have been somewhat right, and it was somewhat right to be called the way it was. they've called Homer for much worse, and didn't call him for much worse...Besides, Detroit fans should be used to this by now.

  4. Not bullsh!t...but not greatness either...it was fair and a good call...we'll leave it at that.

  5. Crappy Call.

Its like the NHL wants the pens to win the cup because they have  a "superstar". Its a conspiracy, I tell you.  With that being said : GO WINGS!

  6. BULLSHIT....TERRIBLE OFFICIATING

for a minute i thought i was watching hockey, and then bamb...gary effin betteman and the new nhl officials....un freakin believable

  7. I won't go BS or greatness, but it was not a great call by any stretch.  Hopefully that will be the worst of the calls made over the next couple of weeks.

  8. The stick was not interference. BS call.

  9. just like the call against dallas total BS

  10. BS, just like the Dallas game, hence they show and talk about it

AGAIN< TAKE THE STICKS AWAY AND CALL IT "SOCCER"

Dont compare Homer to AVERY...never did that ever

  11. Bad call but i want the pens to win so ill take it

  12. bullsh*t

kimberly-are you a r****d? it took a goal away from the wings.

  13. Bullshit call.

  14. middle

I think it was a good call but i also think fleury was a little bit out of his crease, so i understand why people say it was a bad call.

  15. may have been a 'bullshit call' but it's not like the pens got a goal or anything.

  16. good call

and I don't really care who wins the Cup this year.  LOL

    but very entertaining to watch

  17. Well Fluery was out of his crease and it was hard to tell......I guess the refs want to establish ground rules....but.......we will see how they call it if happens at our end of the ice...........

  18. Total Bullsh*t Call...and unfortunately, it's the second negated goal against the Wings in the playoffs that actually should have been a goal.

  19. Bullshit - that was not goalie interference!  His movement was not restricted in any way.

  20. Bullshit.

    tell me this.

when you go for a rebound and hit the goalies pads with your stick to get the puck in the back of the net is that a goal.?  yea it is. Holmstrom got that penalty because he is Holmstrom

  21. The goalies ability to stop the puck was not at all affected.  On the other hand, this is the finals and Holmstrom has a reputation.  He shouldnt have given them an opportunity to make the call.
