Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy

My Soul has felt the hand of God when peril threatened me;

He has tramped along beside me in the woods of Tennessee;

I have felt his awesome presence in defeat and victory

His words have set me free

Bye

  1. The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

    (Entirely too early to think straight. Now, you'll have me singing it all day...moan and mutter.)

  2. I read a few of the scaffold poems and I think I get the gist. I recognize the tune this plays, and someday I will try one myself...I'll have to go back and study the details though. It was Todd who posted the original exercise, right?

  3. "Hi!",

    How are you? You have returned. We have been on a time freeze on yahoo answers. Yahoo's poetry was stuck on the same page for a whole day. It's fixed now.

    I'm glad to hear your OK.

    It's a lovely little poem.

    WELL DONE!

    cheers : )

  4. I liked it until the last line, I was looking for another 8 syllable phrase at the beginning of the line to use the final 6 as the clincher.  It's quite good as it is, but my lyrical mind just wanted more.  Thanks for sharing this inspirational piece with us.

  5. Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the Coming of the Lord?

    no too short

  6. Um, we'll drink a drink a drink

    To Lily the Pink....
