Question:

A Quiet Mother's Day Brunch in Boston?

I'm looking for a nice place to take my mom for brunch on Mother's Day. I'd prefer something $50 or less per person. Here's the catch: my mom doesn't like loud noises so the restaurant needs to be somewhat quiet (a Sisyphian task on any holiday--let alone Mother's Day).

Anyone have any good ideas? I already tried Henrietta's Table, but they have no more reservations available. Thanks!

  1. Upstairs on the Square is AMAZING. It is a veryyyy girly, funky restaurant (I wouldn't recommend going there if you're thinking macho) and they serve tea right after noon, and you can order a stacked tea tray full of tiny sandwiches and petite desserts. It is very cute, and on the moderate end of prices. It is in Cambridge, and looks upon the beautiful Harvard Square.

They also have a brunch there!

  2. you could do dinner and do it at the prudential they have nice resturants there

there is one sea food resturant that is nice but this would have to be for dinner

  3. The Red Lion Inn is amazing but it is in Cohasset.

    It's worth the extra miles!

    Happy Mothers Day

  4. I agree with whoever said the fireplace. It's in Brookline

  5. the fireplace

  6. I was thinking the same thing...check out the Top Of the Hub...ask for a room in the back just off the dining room...it's quieter than the rest of the place...great food and great views...kind of late, hope you can get in.
