A.S Roma confident of contract resolution with Daniele De Rossi: Serie A news
A.S Roma CEO, Claudio Fencucci, is hopeful that unsettled midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112, will agree an extension to his contract in the near future.
Talking to the reporters Fencucci said, "There will be a meeting with De Rossi's agent in the next few days to see if we can make further progress in talks over his contract renewal. It's obvious our desire is to conclude these
talks before the start of the new season. We will do our best and I feel there is also a willingness from De Rossi to conclude this too."
De Rossi’s future at Rome has been subject of huge uncertainty over the past few months but Fencucci confirmed that the negotiations are close to being completed. The Italian international is in the last year of his contract at
the club and was linked with a move to several clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United.
The 28-year-old had a very unsettling 2010/11 season with the Giallorossi and was subject of huge criticism from the fans. The midfielder has reportedly demanded wage parity with the club skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940, and after weeks
of negotiations the club have agreed to offer him wages in the region of 3.5-million-pounds.
New club manager, Luis Enrique, is desperately hoping for the midfielder to stay at Rome and has stated it several times that he is an important member of his plans for the new season.
"Daniele is important for this team and I am happy to keep him as he wants to stay with us. It's now the club who has to find an economic agreement with him. He is a reference point for us and I asked the club to keep him. I also
know that he wants to remain here.”

year stay.
