offer and give him assurances of the club’s future plans to make him stay at Stadio Olimpico Rome.

at the club and admitted few months back that the new owners have failed to convince him with their future plans.
A source close to the club told reporters: "Manchester City are ready to offer Roma €23m [£20.3m] for De Rossi and can give him €9m [£7.9m] per annum over four to five years. De Rossi is aware of Mancini's interest and his attempts
to bring him to City. He wants economic and technical guarantees from Roma for him to stay. If these guarantees are not met he will not sign the new contract.”
"At the moment, he is very uncertain as Roma have been lukewarm with him in terms of this new deal.
The 27-year-old had a very unsettling 2010/11 season and is unhappy with the fans behaviour towards him. The Italian playmaker was recipient of constant boos from the home fans after a less than impressive last season. De Rossi
also revealed a few months back that he is receiving death threats from the people who killed his father-in-law and he might have to leave Rome.
The source confirmed that the player’s future will be resolved by the end of this month. The club Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini, and manager, Luis Enrique, have expressed their desire of keeping hold of the veteran star.
