A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112, confirms Walter Sabatini: Serie A news
A.S Roma http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director, Walter Sabatini, has reiterated his stance that experienced midfielder, Daniele De Rossi, will not be sold this summer.
De Rossi is linked with a move away from the club for past few weeks after he refused to sign an extension to his contract. The Italian international has only 12 months left on his existing contract and he has told the Giallorossi
bosses that he is not happy at the club.
The 27-year-old revealed few months back that he is unsettled at Rome and wants to move to another league. However, new Roma manager, Luis Enrique, and Sabatini have both shown their desire to keep hold of the Italian international.
The midfielder has attracted interest from English Premier League giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester City, but Sabatini has no plans of letting him go.
The Giallorossi chief added that De Rossi is an important member of the Roma team and he cannot weaken the side by selling him to another club. Sabatini also rejected rumours of a swap deal with Palermo midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082.
Talking to the reporters Sabatini said, “I cannot weaken the side. De Rossi’s sale is not on the agenda, just as his contract renewal negotiations are not on the agenda for today. I cannot weaken the side. By selling De Rossi and
then bringing in Javier Pastore or anyone else, I would still be weakening Roma.”
De Rossi is believed to be unhappy with the control of new ownership at Stadio Olimpico Rome and has told the media that the new owners have failed to convince him of the club’s ambitions. Several media reports also suggest that
the midfielder is receiving death threats from the people who killed his father in law few months back and that is the main reason behind his desire of leaving the city.
The Italian is considered as the heart and soul of the club along with team http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940. De Rossi broke through from the youth system of the club in 2001 and has made more than 350 appearances for the Giallorossi thus
far.
