Explain why resources must be transferred between them. Would it be satisfactory for clients to multicast all request to the group of server as a way of achieving mobility transparency for client.

If more then one system access resources, you can corrupt the data.  Only one server (node) should be active and all requests must come to the active node which controls the resources.
