A Smalling worry for Ferguson?

After agreeing to sign Chris Smalling from Fulham last week, the 20-year-old defender was under the watchful eye of new manager Sir Alex Ferguson at the weekend. The Cottagers were beaten 2-0 at home by Aston Villa and Smalling was comfortably outjumped by Gabriel Agbonlahor for the first goal.

Although he is still very young, this could have slightly worried the United boss after shelling out in the region of £8-12 million on him last week. Was this an ominous sign of things to come? Or just a routine mistake from a youngster?
