A Solid Gold Sound DJ?

Hello everyone. I booked this DJ without knowing much and now I've learned a lot about them. There are horror stories all over the internet and fraud reports as well as the BBB and the owner speaks to me in a very aggressive demeaning manner. and have spent 8 weeks trying to get a refund and he is avoiding a straight answer at all costs. Does anyone know if I have a chance of getting this money back?

How did you pay him?  If you paid with a credit card, just call your credit card company and dispute the charges- you'll get all of your money back quickly and easily.

If you paid with a check, or in cash, your options are a whole lot more limited.  You can always file a complaint with the BBB yourself and see if that helps.  Or, assuming he never did the work for you, you could file a lawsuit in small claims court, but that is likely about all of the options that you have.

I have read the horror stories. It comes down to 'if it's to good to be true, it usually is". These guys are scum and have been scamming people for years. They are the same company as asolidsoundsystem.com. Their monthly google ad spend is almost $2200 some months. They have plenty of BBB reports on them. I think if you want to gat 'back' at them, you file a complaint with google, and have their adwords account revoked for those websites. They will likely just open a new domain, but you might at least cost them what they cost you. Very sorry to hear about this.
