Why has Charles Darnay given up his inheritance??

Also does anyone know some good websites about the content in the book? Things that describe what happened or maybe Q&A?

  1. Charles Darnay, renounces his status and lands in opposition to his uncle, the Marquis de St Evremonde, and to highlight the evils of oppression the Marquis represents (remember, he runs over a peasant child in his carriage & kills her AND could care less.)

Not a lot of Q&A -- more summaries by chapter and characters......

  2. It is a very long time since I read A Tale of Two Cities, but it is a powerful novel.  I cannot remember a great deal about it now, but these links should help you with it.
