  1. yes..my sister's friend home schools(private schools) with me and my brothers and sisters and we are in high school

and she pays my grandma(retired teacher) every month it's like going to Private school..maybe they have that somewhere where you live

or you could join an home school association.

  2. nope i am an almost 14 year old and i am homeschooled online... try this site its a very good school : www.k12.com

  3. Nope. You can do online school which isn't homeschooling but is still an option. You can enroll in a charter school that only meets for class a few days a week to give lessons and assignments, and you do the work on your own at home. You can be homeschooled by another family member or a neighbor who homeschools their kids as well. You can join a homeschool support group in your area that has co op classes. This means you take your classes and have your lessons with other homeschoolers and the teachers are other parents or volunteers. You can use a homeschool program that allows you to work independently such as a program that uses computer software or DVD lessons. You have a lot of options.

  4. Actually, WHO home schools you depends very much on where you live. Some states do have a specific requirement that xx% of your schooling be done by your parents and some states that are more strict require that the parent have a degree of some sort (doesn't always have to be a teaching degree) to teach you at home.

There are many resources out there though and doing a simple google search will help get you in the right direction for your state's laws. You want to make sure you understand the laws before you start up or your parents can get into a lot of trouble. Generally, it is best if you work with your parents for your schooling as opposed to going through someone else - your parents know you better than anyone else and care about you more than anyone else and will be best able to determine when you need an outside class or tutor and when you might be able to do the work on your own, etc.

Home schooling is what you make it though and you can have a great time with it and learn a lot or a miserable time and feel like you're "left out" of everything. In our house it is the only option we've ever considered. The inner city schools near our house aren't suitable for our children's education.

    Good luck to you!

  5. Actually all that needs to happen is your parents go to the public school that they pay the taxes to and fill out the form once you "home schooled" you cna sit back and watch tv....that is what I do. Wake up at 9-10 am watch tv....if I so choose I'll open up an book or to but does my mom care...maybe?

  6. If you use an online program, you will have a teacher assigned to you to help you. Your parents will need to be there to hold you accountable just like regular school but you can work independently for the most part.

Here's a blog that has some helpful homeschool information for teens. http://canihomeschool.blogspot.com/

    Best of Luck!
