A-Train makes his return as Lord Tensai to beat Alex Riley – WWE News
Monday Night Raw SuperShow came with two surprising comebacks, one of Brock Lesnar and one of Lord Tensai. While Brock came in as the way he has always been, Lord Tensai is a newly posed gimmick by former WWE performer A-Train.
WWE fans have been witnessing promos of a Chinese martial arts man coming to WWE to bring a change like never before. On this past Monday Night Raw SuperShow, the suspense was ended when the arena was hit with a Chinese soundtrack and red lights all around.
Similar to the Undertaker’s previous entrance, first came out Tensai’s manager holding a pigeon in his hand. He released the pigeon to fly away and then came out Lord Tensai – a masked man in a completely Chinese samurai type getup. Tensai then walked to the
ring with his manager and again like the Undertaker he took off his apparel and his mask in the ring.
This was where we saw A-Train revealing his identity and finally ending the suspense. It was Lord Tensai’s debut match against Alex Riley. Surprisingly, Lord Tensai badly dominated Riley throughout the match, brutally beating him up until the bell rang.
It should be noted here that Tensai did not pin Riley but Riley asked the referee to end the match. However, Tensai had not had his share yet so he went for his finishing move, which completely dismantled Riley.
Unfortunately, A-Train’s comeback Gimmick was not really as impressive as it should not have been. By the end of the match, fans started chanting ‘you suck’ which meant they were not really entertained by the whole idea.
Even in the olden days, A-Train was never a crowd favourite and this time as well he was unable to get their attention. Probably, his idea of returning as a Chinese warrior did not really work on the WWE Universe. No plans for Lord Tensai have been revealed
yet. The upcoming episodes of Raw will tell us what this whole Chinese warrior look is all about and whether A-Train will be able to live up to it or not. If he does not, then we will see him leave the WWE once again.
