Hello everyone. I am writing about A Tribe Called Quest for my university essay, and I wanted to know whether you think they still make an impact on todays society. I would like to know your opinions on hip hop today and '90s hip hop.

no, ppl dont listen to that kind of rap anymore. all they want is so called gangsta rap that talks about violence. oh yeah ms know it all it asks do they still make an impact, not if they made one...

PEOPLE WITH STYLE STILL LISTEN TO THEM!!!! People who listen to mainstream radio stations have no personalities and are not very interesting at all. Don't listen to that first response - big thumbs down - I'm an artist and I was in high school in the 90's - Tribe was great - still are! I love Q-tip!!!!!!!!

The answer to your question is of course Tribe had an impact, they are one of the greatest of all times - along side of De La Soul and Artifacts - I would also talk about graffiti and art culture of the 80's and 90's and what some of the lyrics of their songs are reflecting -  I love the hip hop culture - good luck with the paper, sounds like it could be fun to write.
