A baby boy's name Charlie Lloyd Wright?

I am a bit worried he may get called a right charlie but this is an old fashioned saying, what do you think?

I would go  with Charles since he will be an adult one day.  Charlie sounds very childish for a man.

No, please no. Charlie is a nickname, not a name.

Go with Charles Lloyd Wright, and call him Charlie.

That way when he's older, he has Charles for when he's trying for a career.

The name immediately makes me think of Frank Lloyd Wright, the architect.  I'm assuming Wright is your last name -- is Lloyd in homage to him in any way?

I have never heard the saying "a right charlie," so I don't think your son is in any danger of being called one, at least not in my neighborhood.  I'm assuming it is a very old-fashioned phrase, so I don't think you need to worry about it.

One thing to consider, though -- Charles Lloyd Wright sounds a lot better than Charlie Lloyd Wright.  Something about the "lee-loy" sound in Charlie Lloyd seems less than ideal to me.  Besides, wouldn't you want your son to be able to go by Charles instead of Charlie when he grows up to a be a college professor, doctor, or famous architect?  ;)
