  1. probably not....if u touched the chick then the chick will smell different 2 tha mother (the mother wont recognise the smell of the chick....smell is the only wae mother birds can identify their chicks from other chicks)

  2. well it should since birds are suppose to feed the baby bird. just don't get near the baby or the parent bird will not try to get close. i've had 2 birds and about 5 weeks ago they laid an egg and the chick well was being taken cared and now its ok

it has its eyes opened and can feed itself now

  3. The mum is off looking for food. Needs to feed the chicks

  4. Sometimes the Mum turfs the chick out if they are sick etc. The smell will not stop the Mum coming back so if she didn't kick him out on purpose she will be back.

  5. no

  6. Bird won't abandon a baby bird if a human touched it like mammals. Birds can be placed back in the tree and the parent should return. You having already spooked th birds once, the parent may be waiting for you to get a considerable distance away, so you may not have seen it because you were preventing it from coming back. As long it's in the nest it came from, the mother should continue to take of it along with its siblings

  7. absolutly. Don't worry, the mom will be back soon hopefuly. Oh! This is very important! Please!! Make sure have not touched the chick with your bare hands! Yes! If you do or did, the mother will not care for the baby anymore because they are affriad of human sent. If something happenes again like this, make sure you use gloves, so the mother won't smell the human sent to the baby.

  8. Aw! I hope she does! =(

  9. Please don't worry too much...4 hours really isn't a lot of time...All the babies will be just fine if you quit worrying, o.k. ?

  10. It has been known for the mother to return, just stay away from the nest.
