A ball is thrown 200 m upward and then falls. Acceleration=9.8 m/s squared. how long will it be in the air?

  1. S= 1/2AT^2

    200 = 1/2(9.8)t^2

    T^2= 200/4.9= 40.81

    T= 6.39 seconds  to fall from 200 M to the ground.

    or 12.78 seconds if you wish to consider the time it takes for the ball to go up as well as down  


  2. it will be in the air for about 20.5 sec.

  3. Can't really answer this question without knowing how fast it was going in an upward motion.
