to make it easy to understand, I was a junior ornithologist and had all the necessities to being a bird watcher, i recently joined a volunteering scheme at my local nature reserve and enquired about being a bird watcher again, he told me that its not easy as there is a lot of regulations and precautions and look on the web site for further details, but it did`nt mention anything, would the website have information? thanks.

  1. The best way I find to gain information is ask or do some research on things you want to know more about so in answer to your question yes the web site may tell you more about what you want to know as the net is the worlds best research tool

  2. I cannot understand what this guy is talking about if you mean general birdwatching. There is a birdwatchers code which we all should follow - see the RSPB link.

There are rules and regulations if you want to learn to trap and ring wild birds obviously. You need to be licensed to do this.

Other than that - get out and enjoy yourself !

  3. Are you sure it's birdwatching you mean? There are no regulations or precautions other than common sense and not disturbing the birds you watch.

    And it's very easy!
