  1. Rounding, $82.45 becomes $80..   10% of that is $8.00.   Half of $8.00 = $4.00.  (which equals the 5%)

    15% = 10%  + 5%,    so...

    $8  + $4 = $   tip 12.00

    i hope this helps!!

  2. OK

Not sure what you are asking - but here is the information you need for solving:

    82.45 x 1.15 = $94.82 (rounded to nearest penny)

If you just wanted to know the tip amount

    82.45 x .15 = 12.37 (rounded to nearest penny)

Now, if you round the 94.82 to nearest 10, it would be 90, but that would not leave enough money.  So - techincally, you are always rounding up here - which would be to 100, and would leave 5.18.

    Hope that helps.

  3. 82.45 x 0.15 = 12.67

    82.45 + 12.67 = 95.12 total

    rounded to nearest 10th dollar = 90 or 100

i don't remember my rounding, sorry.
