Here are a few questions:

1) 5 Paris attractions and one thing we can see at each.

2) The highest point in Paris?

3) What is the name of the Left Bank neighborhood frequented by students?

4)What university is situated in the above neighborhood?

5)When and why was the Eiffel Tower built, and who built it?

6)The name of the island in the middle of the Seine River?

7)What famous building sits on this island? When was it built?

8)Where was the French Revolution started?

9)Is it still there? What is it called now?

10)In what neighborhood is the Sacre Coeur Cathedral located in?

12)What are the two banks of the Seine River (In French).

    1.  -The Eiffel Tower for best views of the city

    -Louvre museum for the Mona Lisa

    -Musee d'Orsay for impressionist artwork

    -Centre Pomipdou for wacky artwork and architecture that one would only find in Paris

    -The Opera for music and theatrical productions

    -Sacre Coeur for religious history

    -Arc de Triomphe for a classic Napoleonic monument

    2.  The highest point in Paris is the Sacre Coeur, not the Eiffel Tower as most tourists believe.

    3.  Quartier Latin

    4.  Sorbonne

    5.  It was built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 for the Exposition Universelle.

    6.  The big island is called the Ile de la Cite.

    7.  The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Conciergerie prison are both there.

    8.  Started at the Bastille

    9.  It was demolished in 1789, I believe, and it's now called Place de la Bastille.

    10.  Montmartre

    11.  Saint Denis was the first, not Eudes as some people think.

    12.  La Rive Droite and La Rive Gauche

    13.  Wacky, wacky, wacky modern art.  It's all colorful and so fun to see.

  4. 1) Etoile, the Arc de Triomphe; Île de la Cité, Nôtre Dame; Seine River, the Bateaux; Louvre, Mona Lisa; Défense, Eiffel Tower.

    2)  Eiffel Tower.  The top of it.

    3)  The Left Bank (Rive Gauche in French)

    4) Le Sorbonne, right across the street from the pension I stayed in.

    5) 1898, World's Fair, Gustave Eiffel (hence, the name).

    6) Île de la Cité and the Île Saint Louis,  There are two.

    7)  Nôtre Dame Cathedral.  Don't know what year...13th century, I believe.  I rang the bell once.

    8)  At the Bastille Prison

    9)  No, they tore it down at the start of the revolution.

    10)  Sacre Coeur is in Montmartre.  And it's not the Cathedral, that would be Nôtre Dame.  There can only be one in any city.  Church rules.

    11)  Saint Louis?

    12) Rive Guache and Droite.  I believe you've already covered this.

    13)  Used to be modern art.  I suppose it still is.  Picasso has been displayed there upon occasion.

    14)  The Panthéon.

    15)   The new one?  IM Pei.
