A book with a big tomato on the cover?

A friend of mine is looking for a book about writing, the teaching of writing, etc (we're teachers) and he can't remember the title, but it has a large tomato on the cover. He got it at the same time as Romano's book about voice in writing. Does anyone know the author or title of this text?

I'm not having any luck finding it online. Can you give any more clues? What age group is the book for? Is it just a tomato, or is there more on the cover? Does he have any favorite authors this book might be by? Any clues would help. I will be looking for your answer so I can look up the book.

When I Googled that title, the book on Amazon doesn't have a tomato. Well, ok, maybe a splattered one, hehe.
