A border of 2 inch square tiles is set in the floor of a room which is 12' x 8'. how many tiles are required? How do you do this? I'm don't really understand how to set up the problem.

12+12+8+8= 40 feet

40 x 6 (there are 6 (six) 2" tiles per foot) = 240 tiles

240 - 4 (you only need 4 tiles for the corners, not 8 ( two for each side))= 236
